brown trout fishing has been good on the Oswego river. When you an fish it its frozen just like the lower half of the salmon river. The salmon river see’s a run of brown once the water go’s up in the spring. fishing for browns in the lake once the ice is gone is a blast because they are so close to shore. you can cast spoons and rapala’s at them or if you have a boat you can troll for them with rapala’s or any shallow diving stick bait I like to use smithwicks. the browns are in about 6 to 12 foot of water when they come in. if you have never tried brown trout fishing in the lake after ice out you should defiantly try it we do offer guide trips for the spring browns.
