There have been reports of Atlantic Salmon starting to move up the river, and one of the shop boys landed one by the Black Hole last week. No huge numbers right now but the Atlantics run June, July, and August so we’ll expect to see a higher concentration of them when summer moves in. 70,000 Atlantics were imprinted in the river this past September and they are the only salmon that do not spawn and die. We’re expecting to see them start to run like the fall salmon do within the next five years, which would give the river a five month long salmon season!
