Fishing on the river was a little harder today due to the water release last night. The river flow is currently at 1500 CFS which is making conditions difficult, though people are still hooking up and landing the steelies and we still have good numbers of trout in the river. The majority of the people who reported catching fish today we’re using a centerpin set-up with either pink or orange bait. Estaz flies and Comets have been proving to be very effective for most that have been using them as well as egg sacs. If you have been having a hard time fishing the river try going to some of the tributaries where the water is lower.
For those that do decide to stay on the river, be sure to use caution and make smart decisions while fishing. Your lives are more important than the fish and we hate to see people get hurt so just use your head and have fun!
