Hi everyone! So the latest news is mother nature is finally starting to work in our favor. All this warm sunny weather has opened up the whole lower half of the river, including the town hole. We had a guide out in a drift boat yesterday who caught seven Steelies between 2A and the ballpark. The water is gin clear so if you do go out use some lighter fluorocarbon for as long as you can get away with it. Once all the runoff from the snow hits the river you’ll have to switch to a heavier leader to compensate for the faster current. If you have the time, definitely get out and give the lower river a try. You should be happy with the results if you put the time in.
