If you’re thinking about giving The Pond a try for these bad boys think again. We’ve been waiting all season to hear of some action on Sandy Pond regarding perch and the general agreement is go somewhere else. The good news for this is that Chaumont  (shimo) has been producing good numbers of perch all year. It might seem like a little bit out of the way for some people but really it’s better than sitting home all day, or worse, going out and not catching anything. Also we’re hearing lots of reports that Oneida is showing decent numbers of perch in certain areas. They’re a little harder to find at times than in Chaumont, but if you put the time in and find a honey hole you’ll be set. They way the size of those fish run it’s worth the extra time to find them.
